Who we are

Thank you for visiting our website and welcome to God’s family of St Paul’s. Please take a tour to gain an overview of who we are, what matters to us, and what we do. St Paul’s is a small, but lively, growing evangelical Spirit-led church who love worshipping God and seeing Him at work in our and others lives.

to invest our lives in growing God’s kingdom wherever He leads

to make and grow wholehearted followers of Jesus
who make and grow wholehearted followers of Jesus

God’s worshippers

We love worshipping God. We want everyone to grow in a lifestyle of worship in every area of their lives 24/7. When we come together as God’s family to worship Him, we seek to encounter Jesus and so want our worship to be real, heartfelt and relevant, giving room for being creative, spontaneous and responsive.

God’s disciples

We want each person who belongs to God’s family of St Paul’s to be growing more and more like Jesus, so that our character, attitudes and priorities, what we think, say and do, reflect His life and teaching as revealed in Scripture. Becoming a Christian is the beginning of a new life, a journey of adventure as we grow into becoming disciples – ‘wholehearted followers of Jesus’. This means each of us must take responsibility for our own growth in obedient faith, and the whole church family must also take up its key role in that growth. We long to be God’s family who are ‘making Jesus visible to the world’ and living out His plan for our lives.

God’s family

God has made us all uniquely different and each of our life journeys will have their own story. We want everyone who belongs to St Paul’s family to grow in accepting and loving each other, valuing, embracing and enjoying our differences. We want to discover each other’s unique gifts and how they all fit together to fulfil God’s plan for us. We are all different but we are one family.

God’s ambassadors

We have a God of mission who calls us to ‘look for what He is doing and join in’. We are His ambassadors. In God’s family of St Paul’s, we want outreach to be at the heart of all we are and do, to be out there in our community, town, country, and other nations making God’s world a better place to live. We want to see lives impacted and renewed as they encounter the transforming love and saving power of Jesus.

God’s empowered

We recognise that we are powerless to be or do anything God asks of us without the empowering of the Holy Spirit – powerless to live out and grow in being God’s worshippers, disciples, family, and ambassadors. We look for the presence and move of the Spirit when we are gathered together, and want to grow in creating more opportunities for our supernatural God to bring healing, prophesy, and other gifts of the Spirit. We want all who belong to God’s family of St Paul’s to increasingly grow in being - open to, filled with, led by, dependent on - the Holy Spirit in every area of their lives 24/7.
